Harmony Day

Students and their families arrived at the school on Thursday 29th March to wrap Term 1 up with celebrations for Harmony Day!

We were treated to a truly incredible didgeridoo performance by Dean Tyson, followed by our Indigenous dance group, led by Lara, showing off some of their deadly traditional dance moves. After this, we had our two Emily’s beautifully singing ‘Same Love’ by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Our Year 7 & 8 girls got up and gave a speech they had been working on during class about Harmony Day and what it’s all about.

After the performances, we all headed out for lunch which had been prepared by Amanda and her amazing Hospitality students – everyone loved getting a feed and an opportunity to relax and socialise with one another’s families.

We had a range of activities on offer for all our guests, students and staff, these included Henna tattooing, arts & crafts, a photo booth and face painting as well as plenty of fun for the littlies with a sand pit and a range of toys and games for them to play.

Thank you so much to the students and their families who came out and made it such a great day! Enjoy your Easter break and we look forward to seeing all of our girls return refreshed and ready for Term 2!
