After a wonderful night at the Formal, the graduating seniors of 2017 arrived for their final day of Year 12 – the Graduation ceremony.
The ceremony was a typical Southside affair with a mixture of ceremony, formality and fun. Christine welcomed everyone and gave an address followed by a viewing of the Year 12 DVD which was created by our awesome Art teacher, Bec. Aunty Nicole and Julie created and read a beautiful poem about every individual Year 12 student followed by an emotional farewell speech from Emjay and Hazel who were then joined by Christine to present the Graduation certificates.
After the presentations we all went outside and sat down for a delicious lunch and a yarn. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity over lunch to mingle and congratulate the girls personally before the graduates left the school for the final time as students.
We wish our Class of 2017 all the very best on their future journeys and look forward to seeing them drop back in to let us know how they are travelling in their chosen futures.
Well done you inspiring young women; take on the world but never forget your family here at Carinity Education Southside!
